So I have been in California for almost 2 months (wow time flies)….and it is has been quite the adjustment!
So this is what I have learned about CA….so far….
*It isn’t a cook-out….it is a BBQ
*It isn’t pop…it is Coke
*Life is fast….seriously in CA you cant slow down for a second or you will get ran over
*I have never seen so many BMW, Mercedes, Land Rovers, anything else expensive in my whole life….
*There is a Starbucks on EVERY corner
I am sure there are so many other things I have learned….but let’s just put it this way “We aren’t in Kansas anymore”
I did get a teaching job!! YAY! I will be teaching 5th grade. I am super excited about this and cant wait to get started. We still haven’t sold our house in KS…we lowered our price to practically nothing….so we are hoping to hear something soon! The College Age ministry is going great at the church. God is blessing us so much already! We have already doubled in size since we have been here. Big things are happening and we are so blessed to be a part of it!
Kyler is doing good. Growing like a weed! We went to the doctor for a physical last week and found out that he is in the 4% of his age group. Basically he is Tall and Skinny. Our doctor wants to put some weight on him, but this is how I feel about that….I offer the food but I am not going to make him eat. I think too often we force our kids to eat and then all they know is food…hence the rising obesity crisis in our young children. So I continue to offer good healthy food and when he is hungry he will eat. Okay…so I will get off my soapbox 
Overall we are doing great. I have my moments of homesickness….but if I can just get through the month of July things will get better and I will have a lot going on to keep me busy!
