California! March 23, 2009

Well Kyler and I are back in Kansas for about 5 more weeks!  We got Richard somewhat settled in CA and we found ourselves an amazing apartment.  It was hard for me to come back…Kyler has not been himself (I know he is wondering where his daddy is)…but I know that this is only for a short time and then we will all be together!  God is good and he wont give me anything I cannot handle

I ask that you continue to pray that we sale our house.  We are locked into our lease in CA at our apartment so come May we will have to pay a mortgage and a rental payment…if our house doesn’t sell.  Times are tough for everyone and it would be SO difficult to make both payments.

My interview at the school out there went great and hopefully I will hear something soon!  The principal said it would probably be May before we would know anything but I am hoping/praying for sooner!

Kyler and I are hanging in there!  We appreciate all your prayers!  We love you all!

Life… March 2, 2009

Like the old saying goes “when it rains, it pours”.

That has been SO true in our life lately.  2 weeks ago I had to make an emergency trip to Atlanta, Georgia to be with my grandparents.  They both were put into ICU…and it was a very scary time.  Sadly my grandfather passed away this past Wednesday but my Grandmother is doing much better (although she is still in the hospital).  Then last week Kyler began to get sick.  We thought it was an ear infection/cold…but it he just wasnt getting any better so on Friday we took him to the doctor for the third time that week and the doctor decided to admit him to the hospital.    He ended up having pneumonia.  We spent our whole weekend in the hospital and where released yesterday.  Today he went back to the doctor for a check up and the doctor said he is doing much better!  So hopefully he is on the mend.   After the past few weeks I have had…all I can say is I HATE HOSPITALS!!!

Our big move is coming right along.  Richard moves in 10 days.  I cant  believe it is almost here.  There is so much to do over these next two weeks so we ask that you pray for us through the craziness.  I am so excited to fly out to Cali for a week.  It will be a nice break to a crazy semester.  Then when Kyler and I return we will get back to the grind.

God has been so good to us.  We continually see his blessings even in the midst of the storms.  We know that Satan is going to do everything he can to ensure that this move and time apart do not go smoothly…but we serve a God that wont let us down.  HE promises that he will not give us anything we cannot handle.  (That has become my life motto).  So we trust that as the move gets closer things will fall into place (house, my job, etc).  God is so good!

Well I guess that is about it for now.  Kyler’s second birthday party is this coming weekend so I will post pictures of that soon!  Until then…
